CenterState Bank Expands Correspondent Banking Operations with Addition of Former Silverton Bank Personnel and Founding of Atlanta Office

ATLANTA – CresaPartners, an international corporate real estate advisory firm, assisted CenterState Bank in its lease of 10,426 square feet at 400 Interstate North Parkway, Suite 200, Atlanta, Georgia 30339. Kathy Burke, Vice President of CresaPartners Atlanta, represented CenterState Bank in lease negotiations for its new location in Platinum Tower in Cobb County.
Like many banks, CenterState Bank formerly relied on the products and services of Atlanta-based Silverton Bank, especially their strong Capital Markets and Payments/Operations specialties. On Friday, May 1, 2009, Silverton Bank was closed by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was named Receiver. The customer service culture at Silverton and the quality of their correspondent banking officers had been a consistent trademark in the southeastern community banking markets for the past twenty years. Following Silverton’s closure, CenterState Bank employed several key Silverton employees to enhance its correspondent team, led by Brad Jones (Senior Vice President - Capital Markets), Kellie Endres (Senior Vice President - Payments/Operations), and Brett Rawls (Senior Vice President - Business Development and Marketing). This trio will manage the newly expanded correspondent banking division, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
“Taking a full floor at Platinum Tower will assist in establishing our identity in Atlanta and provides room for growth,” said Brett Rawls, Senior Vice President of CenterState Bank. “CresaPartners’ involvement was instrumental in helping us open this office in less than 90 days.”

Katherine Lynch, with CB Richard Ellis, represented CBRE Investors, the owner of the 400 Interstate North Parkway building. The 300,000 square foot, Class A office building was built in 1987 and was recently awarded LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. It was also awarded an Energy Star label in 2008 for its operating efficiency.
