The CEO of HBO confirmed with CresaPartners the need
to relocate and improve their West Coast headquarters
by configuring all of their divisions into a contiguous
space for improved communication and work flow. Additionally,
a creative campus environment with adjacent outdoor facilities
was critical for business opportunities including HBO
film and television events, client entertainment and private
screenings of HBO’s new films and television series
productions.
The project was completed over $200,000 under budget.
The aggressive construction schedule of 22 weeks was
achieved to allow HBO to move in prior to the Emmy Awards
where HBO received a record 23 Emmys.
The CEO’s goal of increasing communication within
the HBO staff has been described as outstanding.
The significant shell/core modifications within the
space have provided a unique and highly creative environment
rarely seen within a multi tenant facility.
Client interface and approvals were required
from both Los Angeles and New York senior executives
and finance groups. This highly technical space includes
a new 35-seat screening room and editing facilities
completed over existing tenant spaces on the floors
below. Additionally, the 22-week construction schedule
with a critical completion date was maintained to meet
HBO business initiatives and their Emmy Award season
requirements.
