CLIENT OBJECTIVES
EMC2’s operations were growing at such a significant rate that the need to define a long-term real estate solution close to the current headquarters was defined. The need was to house approximately 1,500 seats with growth for an additional 2,500 seats. In addition, the campus needed to provide a future land bank to support another 5,000 seats. The solution needed to be visible and accessible from I-495, a major highway in the region.

RESULT

  • CresaPartners identified and negotiated leases for approximately 550,000 square feet with the ability to expand by an additional 750,000 square feet.

  • Identify and assemble a multiple parcel land site to support a 2 million square-foot Engineering Campus.

  • Assist in the permitting and approval process with the State and local communities.
  • SUMMARY
    EMC2 has secured space for the immediate growth needs and enough land to support the foreseeable space needs for its corporate campus. The land site is currently proceeding through local and state approvals, all of which will be in place the end of 2001.
